Not supporting IE 6 without guilty feeling
Its been more than a year, since the IE 6 funeral is held. For the past year i’m, myself still insisting on providing some backward compatibility when coding layouts. Just because i didn’t want to burden the IE6 users with download/update. However, checking at some of my busy sites’ statistic recently and seeing that users with IE 6 have been dropped to less than 5% now i could really breathe easily, and let go the support for IE 6 
. However , of course, i will still code for cross-browser compatibility.
Sorry IE6 user, if u’re reading this, as a web designer i’m always on users side, but your persistence ( or just ignorance ? 
) to use Internet Explorer 6 wont do you any good. You’ll lose a lot of the current web features. And yes, the big blue ‘e’ on your desktop is not internet, it just a browser, only a fraction of what internet is. And, yes, if you still persist on using Internet Explorer, i would suggest you to update to the latest IE9 ( get the update here , if you’re still using windows xp get the IE8 here ).
